From us to you

They come to us broken and in despair, all we can do is be there.

Be the gentle hand, the kind face, the warmth they've never felt for a single day.

We feed them, make them strong again. Give them the bath they so desperately need.

Watch them grow and blossom back to the animals they should have always been.

It warms our hearts and makes us smile, to know our job is so worth while.

We teach them to trust, to feel safe and to love again.

We love each and every one with everything we have...

...and then we let them go.

To a home with a family who’ll love them just the same.

Who’ll show them the meaning of family and keep them safe every single day.

They’ll show them the wonders of life, the beach and the woods.

And make sure every day of life is filled with cuddles and hugs.

They walk out of our lives to their forever homes.

We send with them tears of joy and hope,

That their world becomes every thing we wished for back when we nursed them back to life.

They will forever hold a piece of our hearts,

as they celebrate their life in their forever home.

An animal is never just for Christmas but at this time of year, we often see many of our long stays spending yet another Christmas in kennels and that is not the way it should be.

It should be a time when they can get excited with your family when you all open your presents and they have some tasty presents to open too. When they can smell the dinner cooking and sit patiently so they can have some Christmas dinner too. When they can lay in front of the fire, surrounded by family and know they are home. Of course here at the kennels, we spoil them with treats, presents and as many cuddles as we can possibly give out during the day but nothing can beat knowing that the bed in the corner is their forever bed, that when your family get up in the morning, it wasn't all just a dream. That the kennels they spent so long in, are nothing more than a distant memory. Can you make ours and their dreams come true this year?
